Marketing Coordinator

KVH is looking for a professional and highly motivated person who will assist with the project management and administrative tasks of a busy global marketing department. This job requires someone who is exceptionally organized; is well versed in and willing to learn new computer applications; can maintain and update budget documents, department schedules, and other files; and has experience with coordinating complex projects. Experience working in a fast-paced office environment is necessary.  The is a full time position and will report to the  Director – Content Marketing & Marketing Programs.

What you would do:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, documentation, and status within Workfront (the department’s cloud-based project management and collaboration tool), including creating, updating, and closing projects while assisting members of the department with projects.
  • Work closely with the Director of Content Marketing & Marketing Programs and the Art Director to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is clearly defined, that the project is on schedule, and contact other departments for input if needed.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals within Workfront.
  • Taking notes in marketing meetings, publishing those notes through Workfront as appropriate as well as directly to meeting attendees.
  • Schedule full marketing team and Marketing Leadership meetings.
  • Assist in developing/ tracking budgets, including creating and tracking purchase orders, budget tracking and planning for department including tradeshow expenditures; proficiency to expert level of experience in Excel necessary.
  • Office management, assisting in day-to-day marketing needs and assisting Directors with any marketing tasks they may require.
  • Assist Marketing Administrative Assistant in fulfilling dealer requests for cooperative marketing materials.
  • Maintaining Marketing Department color printers to ensure they are serviced regularly and remain in proper working order at all times. This includes communication of printer problems with the vendor and their sales and service group.

What you need to bring to the role: 

  • Experience in Project Management or Marketing, preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Apple computer skills
  • Recent and expert working knowledge, of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, preferred.
  • Willingness to be flexible, help on a team, and able to function independently.
  • U.S citizenship or Permanant Residence, required.
